Amy Costello, LPC - A

Licensed Professional Counselor Associate Supervised by Katie Yates, LPC-S
(she/her/hers)

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Austin Texas, providing trauma-focused therapy for young adults, adults, and couples, with a particular emphasis on EMDR and mindfulness.

I work with clients navigating a wide range of trauma-related concerns, including grief and loss, medical trauma, relationship wounds, and major life transitions.

My approach is collaborative, attuned, and grounded in evidence-based care. I believe healing happens by being witnessed with compassion, giving voice to our experiences, and reconnecting with parts of ourselves that may have been hidden, hurt, or silenced. My goal is for clients to leave sessions with a sense of clarity, self-trust, and resilience.

My clinical experience includes counseling adults at the Austin Center for Grief & Loss and supporting parents of critically ill children at Ronald McDonald House. I integrate psychodynamic insight with mindfulness and somatic approaches, and use EMDR when appropriate to help clients process distressing memories and reduce trauma-related symptoms.
