Lexi Turnipseed, LPC-A
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate Supervised by Katie Yates, LPC-S
(she/her/hers)
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Austin, TX. My professional experience includes working with individuals in an education setting, people of low SES through non-profit mental health services, and women regarding women’s issues. I have been fortunate to connect with many different individuals of various backgrounds and work with a wide range of presenting issues, though most of my time has been spent with people experiencing depression, Bipolar disorder, and several types of anxiety.
My passion is to help clients better understand themselves and their world around them. Knowing how overwhelming life can be, my goal is to work together with you as we break issues into smaller parts and recognize new perspectives. I strive to help my clients gain insight through reflection, as I feel this is an essential part of the therapeutic process. My clients and I are a team and sessions are always done at their pace. I am here to give my full support to clients, providing a space where you can feel safe, comfortable, and at ease during our time together, and always attending sessions with an open mind, heart, and ears.
I acknowledge everyone as a unique individual, and the expert of their life story. Recognizing this, I use an integrative approach tailored to fit the needs of my clients in the present moment; utilizing CBT, person-centered therapy, solution focused therapy, and mindfulness techniques the most.
